Roseau Beauty by Nondumiso Makhaya

Roseau Beauty is a company founded by Nondumiso Makhaya in November 2020, after she worked for a health and beauty networking company for about a year and a half.
" I have always been extremely interested in beauty and skin care and I thought that it would be so amazing to be the name and face behind a brand that exudes everything about me. " says Nondumiso.

Roseau Beauty launched on the 1st of March 2021 after months of consultation, ideation and production to make sure that all the products would be of the best quality.

" At Roseau Beauty, we are dedicated to doing our best to offer the best of luxury cosmetics that are sourced locally while also offering you the best quality and impeccable customer service. We started off with luxury mink lashes and we have just introduced a line of hydrating lipglosses and soon hope to expand our range as our business grows. All our products are vegan and cruelty free. " says Nondumiso. 

One can only imagine how stressful running a business or even having the idea in mind but not being able to executed it. Nondumiso has been struggling with the kinds of unexpected expenses that come with running the business. She also struggled with the pricing in relation to her target audience but it’s just a matter of now reframing her products and establishing that it is a luxury cosmetics brand where she offer a quality product at an affordable price and she now knows that this isn’t something that appeals to a student audience.

Anxiety and fear could be obstacles that tend to set us back. Nondumiso says she wakes up so scared that her business will fail but that’s part of the risk you must understand when you want to run your own business. The fear for failure is what drives her to keep on pushing the business even when it’s hard.
